So I got my computer. I meant to post as soon as I got it, but you know me.
I don’t have it set up yet. It doesn’t fit in the current desk and I don’t want it sitting on the floor. Too hazardous. I did unpack it for a quickie to make sure everything appeared to be running OK. Man is it huge. I’m sure you are dying to hear the specs. No? Well here they are anyway:

Loooooove it! Now, to put things in perspective, lets look at my old/current PC specs shall we?

It’s pathetic. It is 6 years old after all. For gods sake it has a floppy drive! Which was mostly obsolete even at that time.
Oh well. I’m trying my damnedest to get the upstairs done so I can use my new PC. Between work and everything it will be a slow process, but I will get it done damn it. The bathroom is already done. I did that quite a while ago. Back when I was still hoping we would hire professionals to do the whole shabang. Then I realized I would be waiting forever for that. I got my tendency to procrastinate from my mom and she’s a pro. But I want to get this shit done. So I decided to go room by room.
To back up a bit and lay it all out… We’re swapping floors. She has a her bedroom and 2 sewing rooms upstairs plus the afore mentioned bathroom. I have a bedroom and sewing room on the downstairs. So I’m going to of course have my bedroom and sewing room and then the third room will become my tv/computer room. The downstairs will be transformed into her own sewing heaven. It was decided that we don’t need a living room and dining room. So those two rooms will become her new sewing rooms. What was my bedroom and sewing rooms will become her bedroom and a storage room. We’d really like to sell things on Etsy.com. And once this is done, we really won’t have any excuses (although you can always find new ones!).
So other than the bathroom I got the closet done in what will become my new bedroom. Today I’m going to move some of the extra crap out of the room and begin washing the walls and chip away at a water damaged part of the ceiling. (A couple years ago we got a leak in that room that turned out to be caused by a bullet hole. We are guessing some shmuck shot a few off on the most recent 4th of July and the leak wasn’t noticed until the first big rain since.) If my mom wasn’t a smoker the washing of the walls wouldn’t necessarily be absolutely required. But she is, so I must. I’m still not sure how I’m going to patch the water damaged area… The bathroom is super cute though. Perhaps I’ll take pictures.
Maybe in between that today and after christmas I’ll work on a new layout here.
